WHY ARE DARWINISTS STILL RESORTING TO FALSE DINO-BIRD MYTHS?

The reason is this: On the one hand, Darwinists are suffering the tension caused by their terrible rout and collapse, while on the other they are sheltering behind a philosophy of “nothing untoward has happened.” For that reason, they try to portray some fossils that fall into their hands in a deceptive light. This generally involves an extinct ape fossil, but sometimes also a dinosaur fossil, the original of which we have never seen in any Darwinist publication. They then blatantly lie about this fossil, using a false “scientific” mask and drawings made showing it flying with huge, long wings to describe it as a dino-bird.
What we need to remember is this: all the deceptions behind all the Darwinist claims for the last many years have been exposed in these pages, straight away and with incontrovertible scientific evidence. The claims made regarding all the dino-bird fossils brought up in recent months in particular have also been definitively silenced with the exposure of all the details of Darwinist frauds. Darwinists have been unable to rebut this scientific evidence. The extraordinary deceptions that the proponents of evolution have raised in order to deceive people by distorting the facts about fossils and in order to turn perfect dinosaurs into birds have all been clearly exposed. However, exposed to the terror and panic of defeat and ignorant of any other way than deception, Darwinists still have no compunctions about employing the same ready-made and primitive tactics.
The latest example of this is a 160-million-year-old, 3-meter long dinosaur fossil found in China and given the name Haplocheirus sollers. The greatest Darwinist claim about this fossil is that it has feathers, in other words, that it is a dinosaur beginning to become a bird. This impossible and fraudulent claim has appeared, as if it were true, adorned with scientific terminology, false analyses and fake drawings in the pages of all Darwinist scientific journals, including those in Turkey.
The fact is, as always, that the idea that these dinosaurs had feathers is a huge lie. Note how in all Darwinist publications the best-known Darwinist deceptive tactic of “false illustrations” is on show regarding the fossil in question. There is no other evidence, not a single picture, regarding the existence of the fossil. In fact, the original paper published in the journal Science makes no reference to the fossil in question having feathers, but as a requirement of the need to deceive people, feathers were merely mentioned in order to be able to make a link between them and dinosaurs. What other Darwinist publications quickly did was to herald this dinosaur fossil as the oldest ancestor of birds by adding a statement to the effect that “it had feathers on its wings.” The fact is, however, that the animal is a perfect, scale-covered reptile. This is a clear example of the Darwinist demagoguery that has been going on for years.

Not a single example of a transitional fossil exists
No matter how much fuss Darwinists may make about every dinosaur fossil they find, those fossils have always represented perfect, fully formed and complete dinosaurs. According to the claims made by Darwinists, who regard random mutations as their false gods, these life forms allegedly evolved gradually and by chance, and they should be monstrous-looking, abnormal and indescribably entities, with all their organs in totally all the wrong places. But they are not like that at all. Not a single fossil meeting that description has ever been found. On the contrary, all the fossils ever found belong to perfect and flawless life forms. Faced by the fact that living things are perfectly symmetrical, equipped with the Golden Ratio and immaculate and fully formed, Darwinists are in a state of trouble and in a total quandary. Indeed, the fact that most recent dinosaur fossil is a perfect and very ancient one again poses a huge challenge to Darwinism. The artificially manufactured feathered dinosaur tales are a manifestation of this Darwinist rout and the dead-end in which Darwinists find themselves.
Moreover, the number of fossils that all pose such an insuperable quandary for Darwinists is approximately 300 million. But NOT ONE OF THESE 300 MILLION IS A TRANSITIONAL FOSSIL.

The existence of a single protein is sufficient to inflict a total defeat on Darwinism
The thing that really demolishes Darwinism is A SINGLE PROTEIN, on which Darwinists expend many pages of fanciful tales and which both dinosaurs and all other living things possess. It is utterly astonishing how Darwinists can engage in evolutionary propaganda about perfect life forms when they are unable to account for the emergence of a single protein. Just one of the hundreds of proteins in the 100 trillion cells possessed by Darwinists demolishes and eradicates Darwinism. The way that Darwinists try to pull the wool over people’s eyes, as if there were no such reality, and imagine that they can still deceive us is the most unbelievable blindness.
Darwinists must take this call of ours on board: Before making illogical statements regarding the fictitious theory of evolution, and before resorting to falsehoods, THEY MUST FIRST EXPLAIN HOW A SINGLE PROTEIN CAME INTO BEING. They must not waste time on frauds regarding fossils without doing this first. Darwinists must also not forget this: that their inability to account for a single protein has been announced to the whole world it is no longer possible for them to fool people with false reports about dino-birds. A great many people now laugh at the theory of evolution. Fraud no longer serves any purpose. Belief in our Almighty Lord is increasing all the time and, by Allah’s leave, will continue to do so. This century will be one of belief in Allah. The victory achieved by Darwinists in the 19th century will totally disappear in the 21st. This is Allah’s promise. And no power can change that, unless Allah Himself wills otherwise.

SIGNS TO THE END TIMES FROM THE STORY OF THE PROPHET MOSES (PBUH)

Adnan Oktar: It is stated in Surah Ta-Ha: “Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state.”, referring to his (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) scepter. That is, Allah inspires The Prophet Moses (pbuh) not to fear. Those were uneasy times. As you already know, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and The Prophet Moses (pbuh) are alike in this respect; i.e. there will always be an atmosphere of dreadful events but Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will have courage. It is also stated: “And thrust your hand within your armpit, it will come forth white without hurt.” (That will be) another token. A white hand is focused attention on in the End Times. “...And that hand, which belongs to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), people will see from where they sit.”, “Insha’Allah, he (Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)) will emerge in the night and people will see him from where they sit.”

Reporter: The only ways for them to see him from where they sit are Internet and television.

Adnan Oktar: He (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) says: “Oh my Lord, open up my chest” which should be interpreted as he (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) gets palpitation when he is anxious and prays Allah to relieve him. He also stammers and pleads help from Allah saying: “...Ease my duty and help me find my tongue” and “Employ my brother Aaron as my aide”. By saying this he implies that he needs somebody (Aaron in this case) to help and take over the speech when he gets excited and stammer. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) shares this characteristic feature i.e. he also stammers when he gets anxious. “He taps his left lap with his right hand”. This is what is actually meant here. It is not necessarily literal but metaphorical in a sense that it is implied that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), like The Prophet Moses (pbuh), stammers when excited. “You watch us without a doubt” says The Prophet Moses (pbuh), meaning Allah sees us in every possible way. “The Hour is approaching, without a doubt”. Here the End Times are emphasized again. “I will virtually conceal the time when it (The Hour) will happen” says Allah. By saying this it is implied that it will be disclosed when the appropriate time comes. We understand from prophet’s hadith pertaining to 7000 years and other hadith that “The Hour” will eventually happen.

“Tuck him in the ark and cast him on the water thus stream set him on the banks of Nile”. There is an indicant for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) in this verse. Therefore he will emerge somewhere around a body of water or a coast. All this could not be mentioned about in Quran vainly. It has mystery, a holy secret. There is a wisdom. In the Sulaiman parable, for instance, or Dhul-Qarnayn parable and in the Al-Kahf sura there is always a wisdom. “I cast a love from my inner being upon you that you to be grown up before my eyes”. First off all will flee from Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) but later on he will be much loved. How is that hadith?

Oktar Babuna: Like the sheeps fleeing from their shepherd.

Adnan Oktar: Yes, people will flee. “Thus we drove you back to your mother”. It says to your “mother” not father as he has no father but only a mother. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also have no father that is his father will have died while he is very young. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is orphan. “...Thus we drove you back to your mother that she would be happy and be not sad”. This means that his (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) mother may be sad like that. This is also a token. “You and your brother (referring to Jesus (pbuh) and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) implying that they are brothers) go with my miracles (ayat); go to the Pharaoh for he is corrupted”. Who is the current pharaoh? Darwinism and materialism. “Speak to him (pharaoh) clemently for it is hoped that he gets the monition, think and may fear.” i.e. it is advised that they should speak mercifully and clemently and avoid speaking harshly. A Muslim does not speak defamatory but clemently. It is said: “It is hoped that he gets the monition”. It is very dangerous to humiliate a man. You should not think that you have subdued him but consider yourselves as conducers of Allah’s will instead. “...And he may fear”. That is he fears of Allah. He emphasizes again: “He said: Fear not for I am with you, I see and I hear”. This is also a token indicating the End Times. In the atmosphere of fear Muslims shall fear nothing but Allah. “He said: Our Allah is the One Who is the Creator of all”. Pharaoh asks first: “O’ Moses ! Who is your Allah?” “He said: Our Allah is the Creator of all”. What he mentions and explains first? The Creation. Explaining the Creation is what we do. That is why they call us “Creationists”. He says: “Our Allah is the One Who created all and then showed the right path”. Then he explained the religion which is “the right path”. “...And the Pharaoh asked:”, pay close attention for it is so important, “What about the first generations of the ancient times?”. He refers to the first humans and asks how were they created. Those people whom Darwinists call “cavemen” were a concern for Pharaoh as well; they had the opinion that is close to that Darwinists’ ideology. He (Pharaoh) produces some evidence and asks him (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) to explain how they were created. They, the ancient Egyptians, also believes that humankind evolved from those primitive beings, i.e. they first emerged from the sludges of the Nile and then evolved from being primitive to an advanced form. This is the first thing that evolutionist of those times talks about with The Prophet Moses (pbuh). He talks about the Creation and his first question is: “How were those generations of the ancient times created?” He asks The Prophet Moses (pbuh) to explain this to him. “He said”, thus answers The Prophet Moses (pbuh), “This is written in a Book which lays at the Sight of my Lord”. Surely the first meaning of the verse is that it is determined in Allah’s Sight, everything is created by Allah. Allah also created them. All the humanity was created as it is written in their destiny and they are in the form what their destiny dictates. But it is also implied metaphorically that answer to this question is written in a Book which is in Allah’s Sight. A Book. It might be any book that will be emerged in the End Times or any book that has been already written. That might be any book that informs Darwinists about Him (Allah). It, insha’Allah also indicates this. Its denotative meaning. But this is its primary meaning. “My Allah never confuses and forgets”. They say everything is a cosequence of coincidences but Allah reveals that there are no coincidences. “My Allah never confuses and forgets”, he says, “...That he (Allah) rendered the Earth into a cradle for you.” i.e. he, this time, mentions about the creation of the Earth and the universe. What do we do? We explain the Big Bang, the creation of the universe. Look, all the prophets explain the creation and how universe was created to persuade them about what they are obsessed with. “He paved paths and brought down water from above for you”. That is: everything was created by Allah. “Thus we created all kinds of plants and couples”. This time he mentions about the creation of the plants. “...And couples...”. With “couples” he means that all the plants were created as couples. Biology has just figured it out that all the plants are couples, has it not? They just discovered the existence of the anther and the pistil. “Eat them and graze your stocks; these are, without a doubt, miracles for those who have wit”. He (Allah) says that there are miracles for those who has the ability to think ratioanally. He says: “Eat”, drawing attention to all the blessings, fruits, vegetables... “graze your stocks” He says, mentioning about the plants and the beasts this time. All the goats, sheeps... all of them, implying take care of what Allah has bestowed. “There are, without a doubt, miracles in this for those who have wit”. “We created you from it, meaning the Earth, the soil, and we will give you back to it”. He mentions about the death now. “You will be resurrected” he says implying all the deceased will be resurrected to pass over to the Hereafter. “I swear”, He (Allah) says, “We revealed all our miracles (ayat) but he denied them and obstinated.” What do they do now? They deny and obstinate as well. “He (pharaoh) said: O’ Moses , did you come over to evacuate us from our land with your magic?”. He, this time, accuses him (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) with political offence when he is up against a wall. He accuses him of starting a gang. He concerns about his intentions that, he believed, is to form an organization to overthrow the state and injuring them. “O’ Moses , you cast your spell on us” he says. That is, all you are trying to do is a lie. He tries to pyschologically take him under pressure by using nationalistic terms. He employs forgery and says: “You are here to drive us out of our lands”. He says: “You will bring damage to us, overthrow our state and collapse our system? You are here to give harm to us.” And they say: “Therefore we will come back with a similar magic”. Is this not the case we face now? They come forward with made-up explanations as well. “Determine a meeting point now. A broad, plain place that we and you would not object.” What are we doing now? We discuss all this on television, just before the public eye. Look at what the verse says: “A broad place that we and you would not object”. Why broad? For all the public to hear. “Moses said: Let us meet on a festive day and at the midmorning when people gather around”. He recommends to meet at a time when it is most crowded. He intends to address the largest possible audience. “Thus the pharaoh turned away just to pull his corrupt order together and get back”. That is, he summons his men, proffessors, associate proffessors of the time. “Moses said: Shame on you! Do not lie to Allah and make up blasphemies for he would eradicate you with great torment”. He implies that Allah would give them a catastrophe in a form of, say, economic crisis or else. It can be anything, is it not? “Those who lie have eradicated eventually” says The Prophet Moses (pbuh). “They then started to discuss their current status and hold confidential sessions”. This is unmistakably a masonic methodology. Behold that the elites have already started to discuss and organize secret sessions. The most prominent feature of the freemasonry is their secrecy. Discretion and secrecy. Pharaoh was the freemason of the ancient times. We can see all of the masonic symbols and icon on their relics. Pharaoh was the mason of that times; he is the master mason indeed. “They said: They are (Moses and Aaron) are just two magicians”. They initiate a propaganda against them. Media of that time hypes the public by spreading words like: “They want to drive you out of your land with their magic”. Such a slander it is. They think that this is the most effective way to provocate the people. They say: “They will drive you out of your land, deprive you of your people and eradicate you all.” “...And they want to terminate your religion, your path”. What would that hodja in Istanbul say to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)?

Reporter: Yes, he would say: “He (Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)) devastates our religion, leads us to disbelief.

Adnan Oktar: And what he (pharaoh) says? They want to abolish your religion and make you stray out of the path. This is the same addressing form that would be directed at Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Times change but events remain the same. The Sunnah of Allah never changes, it remains unchanged: “Therefore gather your traps”. Look they set traps for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) to fall into. They did it to The Prophet Moses (pbuh) in that time. “...And then come as masses”. The Prophet Moses (pbuh) challenges them by saying: “Gather your traps and then come as masses, by fives, by tens... all of you as you are”. “Those who outnumber today will really be salvaged”. They challenges him and that is why it is said: “Gather your traps and then come as masses; those who outnumber today will really be salvaged”. “O’ Moses !”, they said, “Throw your scepter first or we will...” i.e. you initiate the discussion and offer your argument or we will... Look, they first set their trick upon them. “He said: No, Insha’Allah, you throw yours first!” but then their ropes and scepters appeared to be running to him because of their magic. That is what Darwinists produced as evidence to make people believe it to be true. But they are essentially sketches that are called “reconstruction”; completely imaginary sketches. “They appeared to be running to him”. “For that reason The Prophet Moses (pbuh) felt a soaring fear within himself” i.e. he thinks how he could create something like those. “Fear not!”, says Allah, “Fear not as you will prevail”. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also absolutely prevail. “Throw what you grasp with your right hand and it will devour what they created. Because what they created is only a magician’s trick and a magician can not escape no matter what he does”. And what he (the Prophet Moses (pbuh)) proves when he throws what he grasps with his right hand is the Creation beacuse his scepter animates momentarily and devours their creations. A scepter becomes a snake i.e. there is no evolution. They see that there is no evolution, do they not? Vide: “Because what they created is only a magician’s trick and no magician can ever escape no matter what he does. And all the magicians prostrated”. “They said: We believe in Moses and Aaron’s Allah”. They say that they have faith in the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and Aaron’s Allah now, i.e. they are convinced that they are the prophets of Allah and what they brought is the righteous religion. “Pharaoh said: So you believed them without my permission, did you?” They were the alleged Ergenekon Organization of that times. Pharaoh was the messiah ad-dajjal of that time. He claims to be asked to allow them to have faith, can you imagine that? Who do you think you are to say this, you blackguard?

“He (The Prophet Moses (pbuh)) is, without o doubt, your senior who taught you the witchcraft”. So they try to humiliate The Prophet Moses (pbuh). He says: “He taught you the witchcraft” and accuses The Prophet Moses (pbuh) and others of witchcraft and claims that what they did was nothing but a lie. “Therefore I will dismember you crosswise” exactly the same way as this alleged Ergenekon Organization’s torture methods. “I will cut and hang you from palm trees”. “Thus you will learn whose wrath is greater and permanent”. That is, Allah may forbid, he compares his power with Allah’s. “They said: With the strong evidence that has given us...”. We offer strong evidence right now, do we not? “...And we would never prefer you to our Creator”. They defy and say: “We would never follow you”.

“Reign if you can, go ahead and reign!”. They challenge him to do his best and say: “You can only reign this mortal world and nothing more”. You can only martyr us which we aspire to. Masha’Allah! “We truly believe in Allah”, they say, Alhamdulillah Masha’Allah, “May Allah forgive us for our sins and that you led us astray and forced us to deny him because of this spell”. That is the way the alleged Ergenekon Organization forces people to commit crime, murder and corrupt them. They say: “... And that you led us astray and forced us to deny him with this spell”. It is alleged that people forced to do amoral things and recruit them against their will. “...And you led us astray”. What does “to lead astray” mean? That means to force. They say: “May Allah forgive our sins. That is, Allah is most beneficent and eternal.” “The fact is that, for those who are sinners and guilty, their destiny is Hell where they cannot die and cannot resurrect”. The emphasizes that, they wish they were dead but they could not die; they want to escape it but they just cannot.

“For those who comes before Allah with strong belief and good deeds, there are high degrees and Adnan heavens through which golden rivers flow and in which they dwell eternally. And these are what those who are purified get in return”. “Adnan...” As you know, our Prophet (saas) was also a “B’nai Adnan”. Yes he was descended from him. Yes it is a beautiful name indeed. A name which is mentioned in the Quran. And I like it very much because it is also my name. Masha’Allah.

POLICIES APPLIED TO JEWS AND CHRISTIANS IN THE TIME OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS) AND THE FOUR CALIPHS

1. Statements by Syrian Christians in the document known as the Umar Agreement in history presented to Abu Ubayda:

[We imposed these terms on ourselves:]… not to withhold our churches from Muslims stopping there by night or day; to open their doors to the traveler and wayfarer; … to entertain every Muslim traveler in our customary style and feed him… We will not abuse a Muslim, and he who strikes a Muslim has forfeited his rights.

(Majid Khadduri, War and Peace in the Law of Islam (Baltimore: The Johns Hopkins Press, 1955), 193-94.)

2. When Hazrat Umar (ra) captured Jerusalem in person in 637 he issued a decree to the people of the city and announced that the places of worship of the People of the Book would not be touched.

3. Hazrat Umar’s (ra) promise to the Medina Christians contains the principle that “None from the Christian faith shall be forced to become Muslims against their will.”

4. The article concerning dhimmis in the treaty between Christians and Muslims in the time of Hazrat Umar (ra) is very important.

"If one of them becomes weak or old or suffers from sickness or becomes poor when once he was rich, he and his family will receive assistance from the public purse for so long as they are in Islamic territories."

5. Hazrat Umar’s (ra) statement in the pre-agreement with the people of Sham (Damascus):

Do not take the lands bestowed by Allah away from people and impose the jizye [capitation tax] according to people’s ability to pay, as set out in the Book of Allah. Do not ask for more if the jizye is paid by them... If we share the lands among ourselves, nothing will remain for their children. If the lands are left to their true owners, then Muslims can live on what they produce. You may impose the jizye on them, but you can never take them captive. You may commit no injustice that will offend or harm them, and you may not take away their property of you have no right to it. You must fulfill the responsibilities you have accepted in their agreements with us. (Majid Khoduri, Islam in War and Peace, Fener Press, Istanbul, 1998, p. 216)

6. Guarantees were given to the Christians living in the city of Tiberias, captured by peaceful means, in the time of Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra) that their churches would not be touched.

7. During the capture of the Armenian city of Dabil (Dvin), Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians were given assurances and guaranteed the protection of all their places of worship. Moreover, he never withheld permission to restore damaged churches and build new monasteries. For instance, the St. Sergius monastery outside of Medina was destroyed by Patriarch Mar Amme, but rebuilt during Hazrat Uthman's (ra) reign.

8. For instance, the St. Sergius monastery outside of Medain was destroyed by Patriarch Mar Amme, but rebuilt during Hazrat Uthman's (ra) reign.

9. The capitulation guarantee agreed by Hudhaifa ibn Al-Yaman (ra) with the people of Mah Dinar said “this guarantee is given for their lives, goods and lands. They cannot be forced to change faith, and the Shariah shall not enter among them.”

10. Uqba, the governor of Egypt, contributed to a Nestorian monastery.

11. During the reign of Mu'awiyya, the church of Urfa and the Saint Marcos Church was built in Alexandria.

12. The Sinai Monastery with a mosque right next door is an important pilgrimage center on Mount Sinai and a symbol of Muslim acceptance.

13. A letter by the Nestorian Patriarch Isho'yab III:

They [Abbasids] have not attacked the Christian religion, but rather they have commended our faith, honored our priests... and conferred benefits on churches and monasteries.

(Fred Aprim, “The A to Z of the ancient Chaldeans and their relation to modern Chaldeans;” http://www.atour.org/news15_1.htm)

14. When non-Muslims could not pay their taxes, they were supported by public funds, which were an important aspect of state support.

15. The agreements between our Prophet (saas) and various non-Muslim groups particularly stressed that their lives and goods were guaranteed. (The treaty with the people of Juhayni, Hamidullah, Document no.151)

16. The treaty issued by the Prophet (saas) guaranteeing the Christians of Najran their temples, put their places of worship under guarantee by saying the temples of the people of Najran are under the protection of Allah and the responsibility of His Prophet, Muhammad (saas). (Ibn Sa'd, I, 288, 357-58)

17. According to the account in Abu Dawud, the treaty contains the term churches will not be destroyed. (Abu Dawud, Haraç, 29-30)

18. The guarantee regarding places of worship was repeated in the capitulation document sent by our Prophet (saas) to clerics of Bani Haris b. Kab of Najran. (Ibn Sa'd, I, 266)

19. The Jews of Haybar once came to the Prophet (saas) and said that their goods had been taken away by certain Muslims without permission. At this, the Prophet (saas) summoned the Muslims to the mosque and told them it was unlawful to touch the goods of those with whom a treaty had been signed and that what they had done was wrong. (Musnad, IV, 89; Vakıdi, II, 691; Serahsi, Siyer, I, 133, IV, 1530)

20. According to some hearsay, our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) attended their weddings, visited their sick, and was generous to them. Prophet Mohammed (may God bless him and grant him peace) even spread out his cloak so that the Christians of Najran who came to visit him could sit on it.

21. When the representatives of the Christians of Najran came to Madina, the Prophet (saas) and his companions performed the afternoon prayer. Since their time for prayer had also come, they entered the mosque and headed toward east and Rasulullah (saas) permitted them to perform their own religious observances. (Ibn Hişam, I, 574; Ibn Sa'd, I, 357)

22. Article 17 of the Medina City State Treaty: "Those of the Jews who join us will be assisted and well-treated. They will suffer no injustice and their enemies will not be helped."

23. Article 25: *The Jews of the B’nai Awf and believers are a single united Ummah. They will live by their own faith and Muslims by theirs ".

24. Article 36: "There will be mutual aid, counsel and goodness between Muslims and Jews " (Ibn Kesir, es-Sire, II/322; Hamidullah, el-Vesaik, p.44-45; Cohabitation in Eastern and Western Sources, p.285)

25. According to reports from different accounts narrated from Tabari and Zaemakhshari, there was a Christian living in Mecca who was an ironsmith, who knew the Torah and the Gospel very well, and who, the Prophet (saas) would personally meet and converse with. (et-Tabari; Cohabitation in Eastern and Western Sources, p.306)

            26. A letter sent by our Prophet (saas) to the Christians of Najran said; "... No matter what happens, no matter how much they own, be it much or little, their churches and monasteries belong to them. They are the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger. No bishop will be removed from where he is serving as bishop and sent elsewhere, nor any monk from his monastery or any priest from his own church. No change will be made to their rights, laws or customs. So long as they behave with honesty and abide by the responsibilities laid upon them, the protection of Allah and His Messenger will be upon them. They will suffer no oppression, and they will oppress nobody.”

LOVE AND JUSTICE TOWARDS THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK DURING THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE

YILDIRIM BEYAZIT WELCOMED THE JEWS FLEEING SPANISH PERSECUTION

In the time of Yıldırım Beyazid, the Ottoman fleet under the command of Kemal Reis carried the Jews exiled from Spain to Ottoman territories and settled them there.

Sultan Bayazid welcomed the Jews into his empire and issued a firman (decree) ordering that the people show them the respect and acceptance to which they were entitled.

THE TIME OF SULTAN MEHMET THE CONQUEROR

When Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror captured Constantinople, he allowed the Christians and the Jews to live freely there.

André Miquel, who is known for the valuable works he has written about the just and tolerant practices of Muslims and the world of Islam, says:

THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES LIVED UNDER A WELL ADMINISTERED STATE THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE DURING THE BYZANTINE AND LATIN PERIODS. THEY WERE NEVER SUBJECTED TO SYSTEMATIC PERSECUTION. ON THE CONTRARY, THE EMPIRE AND ESPECIALLY ISTANBUL HAD BECOME A REFUGE FOR SPANISH JEWS WHO WERE TORTURED. PEOPLE WERE NEVER ISLAMIZED BY FORCE; (F. Emecen, K. Beydilli, M. Having captured Istanbul, Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror told the priest and former Orthodox Patriarch who prostrated on the ground before him: “RISE! I AM SULTAN MEHMET, AND I TELL YOU AND ALL YOUR PEOPLE THAT FROM THIS DAY ON YOU NEED NOT FEAR MY WRATH REGARDING YOUR LIVES AND FREEDOM.”

Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror published a firman guaranteeing freedom of sect and belief for all the people, including the Genoese.

The Ottoman Empire guaranteed peace and security for five centuries in the area.

The freedoms and acceptance enjoyed in Jerusalem and its surrounding area under Ottoman rule is described by one of Israel's ex-foreign ministers, Abba Eban, as follows:

JERUSALEM AND THE JEWISH NATION SUFFERED BLOODSHED AND TORTURE FROM THE ROMANS AND EVERY OTHER OCCUPYING FORCE. ONLY AFTER THE CONQUEST OF JERUSALEM BY SULTAN YAVUZ SELIM AND ITS FORTIFICATION BY KANUNI DID THE JEWISH NATION DISCOVER WHAT HUMANITY, EQUALITY, AND A PEACEFUL LIFE MEANT. THE TOLERANCE OF THE SELJUK RULERS TOWARD
    THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

The memoirs of a priest who participated in the 2nd Crusade, describe the loving and just attitude of the Muslims toward the People of the Book:

"… THE TURKS SAW TO THE WOUNDS OF THESE UNFORTUNATES, GENEROUSLY FED THE POOR AND FREED THEM FROM WOE... THIS PROTECTIVE TREATMENT OF MEMBERS OF OTHER FAITHS... LED TO THEM MAKING SUCH A COMPARISON WITH THE CRUSADERS THAT A GREAT MANY OF THEM CONVERTED, OF THEIR OWN WILL, TO THE RELIGION OF THE MUSLIMS WHO HAD SAVED THEM." (Reference: Osman Turan, Türk Dünya Nizamının Milli, İslami ve İnsani Esasları (The National, Islamic and Humanistic Principles of Turkish World Order), Vol. 2, p. 138)

THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK HAVE ENJOYED DHIMMI,
NOT CAPTIVE STATUS IN THE HISTORY OF ISLAM

The People of the Book living in captured lands were given dhimmi, not captive, status and thus enjoyed significant legal rights.

Dhimmi was a status bestowed on non-Muslims who recognized Muslim authority and paid a specific level of the duty known as the jizye or capitation tax.

As a result of this, their lives and property were guaranteed, they enjoyed freedom of religion and conscience, were exempted from military service, maintained the right to use their own laws in resolving disputes among them and the jizye tax they paid was sometimes rebated to them when occasion demanded.

During a war against the Byzantines, when a climate arose in which the armies of Islam were unable to provide sufficient protection for Christians they returned the jizye tax to them, and this is another excellent example of the moral values that our Prophet (saas) taught to Muslims.

THE TIME OF THE MAHDI IS ONE IN WHICH MUSLIMS, JEWS AND CHRISTIANS WILL LIVE TOGETHER IN PEACE

ADNAN OKTAR: What I say is all said under the shadow of the system of the Mahdi and the Messiah. I am a precursor of Hazrat Mahdi (as). I prepare the ground for him. I tell people of the delights of the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Not a single drop of blood will be spilled in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Nobody’s nose will be made to bleed. Everyone will live together in peace. The world will overflow with justice. All enmity, conflict, war, disagreement and fighting will come to an end inshaAllah. This important fact is imparted for certain in the hadith handed down from our Prophet (saas):
People will seek refuge in the Hazrat Mahdi (as) as honey bees cluster around their sovereign. He will fill the world that was once full of cruelty with justice. His justice will be as such that HE WILL NOT WAKE A SLEEPING PERSON OR EVEN SHED ONE DROP OF BLOOD. The Earth will return to the age of happiness. (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi 'Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p.29)
[Hazrat Mahdi (as)] will follow the way of the Prophet. HE WILL NOT WAKE UP A SLEEPING PERSON OR SHED BLOOD. (Al-Barzanji, Pamuk Publishing, Istanbul, 2002, p. 163)
In the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) no one will be woken up from their sleep OR HAVE A BLEEDING NOSE. (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 44)
Those obeying him [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] will pay homage to him between ruqun and maqam (around Qaba). They will not wake a sleeping person, NEVER SHED BLOOD. (Al-Haytamî, Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 24)
This (Amr) [Hazrat Mahdi (as)] WILL FILL EARTH WITH JUSTICE, just as people previously filled it with cruelty. (Sunan Ibn Majah, 10/348)
The world filled with oppression and tyranny WILL OVERFLOW WITH JUSTICE AFTER HE [HAZRAT MAHDI (as)] COMES. (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 20)
THERE WILL BE SUCH AN ABUNDANCE OF JUSTICE IN THE HAZRAT MAHDI'S (as) TIME that just as all the goods taken away by force will be returned to their owners. (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 23)

HIS [THE MAHDI'S (as)] JUSTICE WILL COVER ALL PLACES and he will rule among people with the Sunna of the Prophet (saas). He will even also call for one who is in need to be brought forward, and when that command is obeyed only one person will come. (Al-Qawl al-Mukhtasar fi `Alamat al-Mahdi al-Muntazar, p. 20)
If there were only one day left for the world, that day would be lengthened until a man from among the people of my household, was sent; just as the Earth is filled with cruelty, HE WILL FILL THE EARTH WITH JUSTICE. (Sunan Abu Dawud, 5/92)
Hazrat Mahdi (as) is one of my people, and HE WILL FILL THE EARTH WITH TRUTH AND JUSTICE, just as it is now filled with cruelty and torture. (Sunan Abu Dawud, 5/93)

Like the cup fills with water, SO WILL EARTH FILL WITH PEACE. THERE WILL BE NO ENMITY LEFT between any people. ALL HOSTILITY, FIGHTING, AND ENVY WILL DISAPPEAR. (Sahih-i Muslim, 1/136)
... In the same way that Almighty Allah began with me, so He will bring matters to an end with him (Hazrat Mahdi (as)). In the same way that THEY WERE FREED FROM POLYTHEISM AND ANTIPATHY (DISCORD AND ENMITY) AND THEIR HEARTS WERE FILLED WITH FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE THROUGH ME, SO IT WILL BE AGAIN (WITH THE COMING OF HAZRAT MAHDI (as)). (Portents of the Coming of the Mahdi of the End Times, Jalaladdin as-Suyuti , p. 20)
... IN HIS [ HAZRAT MAHDI (as)] TIME THE GOOD BECOME EVEN MORE GOOD, AND EVEN THE WICKED ONES ARE TREATED WELL. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-zaman, p. 17)
As the hadith handed down from our Prophet (saas) clearly show, peace, love and affection will reign on Earth in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). All Muslims, Jews and Christians will leave in comfort, peace and security. That same climate of peace, abundance and security will continue in the time of Hazrat Messiah (as); not a single unbeliever will be left in that time, and the whole world will believe and be Muslim. Almighty Allah has revealed this in the following verse:

There is not one of the People of the Book who will not believe in him before he dies; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them. (Surat an-Nisa’, 159)

In the time of Hazrat Messiah (as) all the People of the Book, all Jews and all Christians in other words, will be Muslims. The whole world will convert to Islam, and Israel will be Muslim. This will be with love and affection, not through force. Every Christian and every Jew will convert to Islam, out of love and of their own free will. No duress of pressure will be used against the People of the Book, and the conversion to Islam will be a totally sincere one.
Hazrat Mahdi (as) will rule the People of the Book with the original forms of the Torah and the Gospel
Hazrat Mahdi (as) will tell Muslims of the proper moral values of the Qur’an, and will treat Muslims in the light of proper, Qur’anic virtues. But he will rule Christians with the Gospels, that part of them which has not been corrupted or distorted, and will rule the Jews with the true Torah, the genuine Torah. Therefore, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not, as some Christians believe, force Christians and Jews to convert to Islam. He will rule them with those parts of the Gospels and the Torah that are compatible with the Qur’an. This is revealed in another of the hadith of our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace):
"[Hazrat Mahdi (as)] will rule among Jews with the Torah and among Christians with the Gospel." (Jabir Ibn Yazid al-Jo'fi narrates from Imam Muhammad Baqr)
As a miracle from Allah, in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as) the original forms of the Torah and the Gospels will be found. Our Prophet (saas) reveals that the uncorrupted forms of these holy scriptures will be found in the End Times:
"...The reason why Hazrat Mahdi (as) is known as Hazrat Mahdi (as) is this; he will be directed toward a secret matter, will extract the Torah and other Divine books from a cave in Antioch... (Jabir Ibn Yazid al-Jo'fi narrates from Imam Muhammad Baqr)
"It is certain that Hazrat Mahdi (as) is known as the ‘Mahdi.’ Because he will be directed to salvation to one of the mountains of Sham, from where he will extract the books (volumes) of the “Torah” and will enter into debate with the Jews on the basis of these and (eventually) a group of Jews will become Muslims by his hand. (Harun Ibn Maruf narrates from Zamra Ibn Rabia from Abdullah Ibn Shawzab)
According to the Qur’an, Muslims’ Behavior toward the People of the Book Is Always to Be Based on Love and Affection
The behavior recommended to all Muslims in the Qur’an is to treat the People of the Book with love, respect, affection and compassion, to protect and watch over them and to meet their needs in the finest manner.
The pronouncement of the Qur’an regarding the People of the Book is crystal clear, and is also clear from the Sunna of our Prophet (saas). The people of the Book are our La Ilaha IllaAllah (there is no god but Allah) brothers; Armenians, Jews, the Orthodox, Protestants and the whole Christian world are all our brothers. We all believe in the same Allah. There is the same belief in the Christian, Jewish and Islamic worlds. We are all the children of the Prophet Abraham (as). Members of all three faiths share the same basic beliefs, and the existence of the People of the Book is therefore a great blessing. Islam is not solely based on the peace and comfort of Muslims. The Qur’an says that the People of the Book also exist. And according to the Qur’an, the People of the Book must also live in peace and comfort and be protected by Muslims. It is an excellent thing to live as brothers and talk and converse with the People of the Book. According to the Qur’an, one may marry members of the People of the Book, eat their food and enjoy business and social relationships with them. Islam demands that the People of the Book be shown affection and respect. This is a religious obligation for Muslims. Allah says in one verse:

Today all good things have been made lawful for you. And the food of those given the Book is also lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. So are chaste women from among the believers and chaste women of those given the Book before you, once you have given them their dowries in marriage, not in fornication or taking them as secret intrigues. But as for anyone who rejects faith, his actions will come to nothing and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. (Surat al-Ma’ida, 5)

You can read the verses of the Qur’an that command love and affection be shown to the People of the Book from here.
Some of the hadith of our prophet (saas) concerning the People of the Book read as follows:
1. The Prophet Muhammad (saas) has stated the following:
“Someone who unjustly kills a dhimmi (person under protection) cannot get a whiff of Heaven. However, its fragrance is felt from a distance of forty years. (Sahih Bukhari, Jizya, 5)
2. Our Prophet (saas) said: “However oppresses a dhimmi or burdens a weight over him more than he can carry, I will be his enemy.”
3. “Whoever oppresses a dhimmi or loads a work that is over his strength or takes something away from him by force, I am his foe on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud, Kharaj, 31-33)
4. “I am claimant of anyone who depresses a dhimmi. The one who I am claimant of (in this world), I am also claimant of on the Day of Judgment.” (Ajlouni, Kashf al-Khafa’ II, 218)
5. Holy Prophet (saas) commands: “Beware! I will be complainant of those who act cruelly and heartlessly to these people (who are bound by agreement) and restrict their rights or who load a work over what they can sustain or take away something out of their will, on the Day of Judgment.” (Abu Dawud, Jihad; (İslamda Devlet Nizami [Islamic State Order]), Abu’l-A’la Mawdudi, Hilal Yayınları, 1967, p. 71)
6. In any one of the countries conquered at the time of Hazrat Omar, not even one place of worship was failed to respect. Abu Yusuf writes:
“All places of worship were left as they were before. Neither were they demolished, nor the defeated people were deprived of their properties or belongings.” (Abu Yusuf, Kitabu'l-Haraj; Islam’da Devlet Nizamı, Abu’l-A’la Mawdudi, Hilal Yayınları, 1967, s. 74)
7. Hazrat Ali said, “Whoever is our Dhimmi, his blood is as blessed as ours, his property is as protected from damage as ours.” In another verse it is related that Hazrat Ali said the following: “The property and life of the ones who accept status of Dhimmi is blessed as ours (the Muslims).” (Islam’da Devlet Nizamı "Islamic State Order”, Abu’l-A’la Mawdudi, Hilal Yayınları, 1967, p. 76)
8. In the agreement which our Holy Prophet (saas) decreed the articles to Ibn Harris ibn Ka’b, who is a Christian, and other Christians:
“The religion, churches, lives, chastity and property of the entire Christians living in the East and the West are under the protection of Allah, His Prophet (saas) and all the believers. None of the people embracing the religion of Christianity will be forced to accept Islam. If one of the Christians suffers murder or injustice, Muslims are obliged to help him,” he narrated the verse: “Only argue with the People of the Book in the kindest way…” (Surat al-Anqabut, 29/46). (Ibn Hisham, Abu Muhammad Abdu’l-Malik, (v.218/834), as-Seerat an-Nabaweeyat, Daru't-Turasi'l-Arabiyye, Beirut, 1396/1971, IV/241-242; Hamidullah, Al-Wasaiq, s.154-155, No.96-97; Doğu Batı kaynaklarında birlikte yaşama, “Living together in Eastern and Western sources”, p. 95)
There Is No Pressure or Compulsion in the Qur’an, and All Forms of Terror and Violence Are Unlawful in Islam
According to the Qur’an, there is absolutely no pressure or compulsion in Islam. Our Almighty Lord has set this rule out in the verses of the Qur’an:

There is no compulsion where the religion is concerned. Right guidance has become clearly distinct from error. Anyone who rejects false gods and has belief in Allah has grasped the Firmest Handhold, which will never give way. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Surat al-Baqara, 256)
You are not in control of them. (Surat al-Ghashiyya, 22)
We know best what they say.You are not a dictator over them. So remind, with the Qur’an, whoever fears My Threat. (Surah Qaf, 45)

It is clear that there is no room for violence in Islam. According to the Qur’an, war is only possible for defensive purposes, when property, lives or virtue are in danger. But even then, Muslims never go to excess, and have a responsibility to treat the captives they take kindly, even give their prisoners food while they themselves go hungry, to establish peace without delay and to protect civilians and the innocent. It is clear from the life our Prophet (saas) the kind of behavior in this regard that Islam demands. Throughout the 13 years they lived in Mecca our Prophet (saas) and the Companions were subjected to terrible duress, attacks and slanders; they were forced to leave their homes and threatened with death. But they never resorted to violence despite all this aggression and oppression. When the oppression in Mecca increased, they migrated to Medina, and during the Medina period they only engaged in wars that were unavoidable and for defensive purposes. For example, the Battle of Badr began when the Meccan pagans gathered their armies and attacked the Muslims, intending to martyr them. At Hendek the Muslim erected obstacles around the city in order to protect themselves, and the fighting was purely defensive. In short, the wars in the past were all unavoidable and defensive, the result of direct and ferocious attacks by pagans. None was an offensive war.
Someone who sees and grasps the depth of the Qur’an can also easily see that there is nothing but forgiveness in it. The Qur’an says that Muslims must not go to extremes in war, and that they must stop fighting when the community they are at war with does so:

Fight in the Way of Allah against those who fight you, but do not go beyond the limits. Allah does not love those who go beyond the limits. (Surat al-Baqara, 190)
But if they cease, Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat al-Baqara, 192)

The Qur’an also recommends that prisoners of war be forgiven and freed. Allah tells us in the Qur’an that is it better to forgive people, even if murder has been committed. Muslims’ responsibility, according to the Qur’an, is always to do what is best for Allah’s approval. Since Allah regards forgiveness as best, even in the case of murder, that is what Muslims need to do. Islam is a religion of affection, compassion, peace and love. Those who seek to give a different impression of Islam should abandon that behavior forthwith.
An undeclared war being initiated against people is called terror. In Islam, neither state nor individual terror is acceptable. The law of war is clear in Islam. If there is a peace treaty between two parties, it is essential in the eyes of Islam that they abide by it. There are various conditions, according to the Qur’an and the Sunna, for war to be commenced. A Muslim has a duty to abide by these conditions. Only when these conditions have been met can a state declare war. And when war is declared, it must be waged legitimately and in accordance with the moral values of the Qur’an as described above.
If blood is shed in contravention of these conditions, if states or individuals shed blood after peace has been agreed, if killings are then carried out, then this is terror. And Islam denounces terrorism.

PEOPLE OF THE BOOK ARE UNDER MUSLIMS' PROTECTION

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar’s live interview dated January 23rd, 2010

Mr. Adnan Octar comments on this matter is as below:
Presenter: A few days ago 6 Coptic Christians were killed in Egypt in a drive-by shooting while leaving the church. All the media in the West started to cover this story in a negative way since the incident took place in a Muslim country. The Egyptian government does not make a declaration about the issue. What do you think about this subject?
Adnan Oktar: Recently some of our Christian friends, brothers are keen to show Muslims in the history and also today as blood shedders, cruel people who cause trouble, who flout the laws, rights and democracy. They are giving examples from the wars in history. If we were to give examples from the wars in the past—especially our American Protestant brothers, Evangelicals speak so—they murdered tens of thousands of people in Hiroshima in an instant. They killed tens of thousands of people in Nagasaki in an instant. There were also Muslims, Christians there. People from all religions. So in accordance which law was this carried out? Right? They shed blood in numerous countries. They shed blood in Afghanistan and Iraq. With which law were those done? Right?
No Muslim interpreted these incidents as; “This is how those abiding by the Gospel are, they are blood shedders.” We said, “This is the spirit of freemasonry, a requisite of being a mason. Those disbelievers who are neither Muslims nor Christians committed it.” In no way did we attribute it to Christianity. Let me correct the word “attribute it”, may Allah forgive me, let me say, “We did not hold Christianity responsible for it.” Consequently, it would be erroneous for our Christian friends to hold Islam responsible when an incident happens; they have to abandon that habit.
Alright, there is war in the Qur’an, but it is as a self defense, when you, your possessions, security and honor is under attack. That is to say, someone has entered one’s house, there is a raid with weapons, rifles. They had knocked the glasses-frames down and fired bullets. What can a man do in such case? Shall he bring them into court? What should he do? If he attempted to escape, he would fail. Right? What should be the action? To save one’s life, defending one’s self. There are things to do while defending one’s self; for instance, people first open fire to the air, they threaten, open fire to the air, if these measures prove to be ineffective, they try to stop the perpetrator by injuring him but in a way not to cause suffering or killing him. This is self-defense. Is there any other way of doing it? Is there any other way in the case of a sudden attack? Since he can not escape. So what is to blame or to see as a fault here?
In those periods, Muslims were under enormous pressure, under great cruelty. They were being put in pits and burnt with petrol. What should be done? What should he do? There is a mid-night raid. They come with swords, maces and spears. Were they to say ; “Welcome, let us serve you some tea? ” What should they tell? Of course they defend themselves. Meanwhile, there may be loss of lives during this defense. This is not something abnormal because the other party has already come to take your life. It is very difficult to defend oneself without harming the other side at that moment, during a mass attack. You can not say, “Let me just make him faint and deactivate him.” In the conditions of the time, there wasn’t a mean to knock someone out anyway. What can they do? Consequently, it is very erroneous to blame and criticize Muslims. They should criticize themselves. There is not the slightest error in what is done in the time of our Prophet (as). None of them are wars of attack.
Oktar Babuna: As you know better insha’Allah, there is also a disproportion in the numbers [of the armies].
Adnan Oktar: And everything is aimed at forgiving. For instance All-Mighty Allah says, “but do not go beyond the limits”, “if they stop, you also stop”, “release the captives, behave well to the captives.” What a perfect explanation. What a humanistic interpretation. In case of a murder, for instance, notice that this is a murder, Allah says that there is the right for retaliation. Normally the penalty for murder is execution. However Allah says, “It is more auspicious for you if you forgive”. Since a Muslim would always choose to forgive, which is more auspicious, so what? Don’t we see here the highest form of compassion, love and mercy? What is the meaning of forgiving an enormous cruelty such as murder? Allah relates, “It is more auspicious for you if you forgive.” Consequently Islam is a religion of love, mercy and compassion. But this also holds true for Gospel and Torah. Even in its distorted form, it has preserved these beautiful features.
Consequently they will abandon trying to provoke Muslims, murdering, acting despotically and attributing an incident perpetrated by a few psychopaths to Muslims. This is very erroneous.
Besides when we look at the murderers, we see that they were educated either in Britain or America and undergone Darwinist and materialist education. Someone with a sufistic manner, someone sensible, or let us think about a follower of Risale-i Nur, has anyone seen a follower of Risale-i Nur whose name has been involved in a murder in any corner of the world?
Oktar Babuna : No one has seen, insha’Allah.
Adnan Oktar: Let alone murder, has anyone seen such a person injuring someone? There are millions of followers of Risale-i Nur, and they, in no way, commit it. For instance a Sufi, a member of a religious order; there are, for instance, Shazinis and Nakhshibendis abroad. Do we ever see them committing such an act? Or a Fiqh scholar, a scholar who has undergone an Ahl al-Sunnah education. Have we ever seen such a scholar committing such an act? In no way. Who are the people that we see committing such acts? Those followers of Ibn Miskhawayh, those Darwinists, materialists, advocates of evolution who have sympathy for socialism, admirers of Che, Ho Shi Minh, those trying to reconcile the views of Lenin with Islam, those people suffering from inferiority complex. Consequently they need to discriminate between them. We mean the genuine Muslims. A genuine Muslim is always full of compassion, mercy and love.

VARIOUS HADITH OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS) REGARDING THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

1. The Prophet Muhammad (saas) has stated the following:
“Someone who unjustly kills a dhimmi (person under protection) cannot get a whiff of Heaven. However, its fragrance is felt from a distance of forty years. (Sahih Bukhari, Jizya, 5)

2. Our Prophet (saas) said: “Whoever oppresses a dhimmi or burdens a weight over him more than he can carry, I will be his enemy.”

VERSES REGARDING THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK

That There are Believers among the People of the Book, and Their Fine Aspects

You are the best nation ever to be produced before mankind. You enjoin the right, forbid the wrong and believe in Allah. If the People of the Book were to believe, it would be better for them. Some of them are believers... (Surah Al ‘Imran, 110)

They are not all the same. There is a community among the People of the Book who are upright. They recite Allah’s Signs throughout the night, and they prostrate. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 113)

They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and compete in doing good. They are among the righteous. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 114)

You will not be denied the reward for any good thing you do. Allah knows those who fear [and respect Allah]. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 115)

Among the people of the Book there are some who believe in Allah and in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down to them, and who are humble before Allah. They do not sell Allah’s Signs for a paltry price. Such people will have their reward with their Lord. And Allah is swift at reckoning. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 199)

Those We gave the Book before this [the Qur’an] believe in it. (Surat al-Qasas, 52)

When it is recited to them they say, “We believe in it; it is the truth from our Lord. We were already Muslims before it came.” (Surat al-Qasas, 53)

They Who Rejoice that the Qur’an Was Sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (saas)

There Is No Fear For Those of Them Who Believe

Those who believe, those who are Jews, and the Christians and Sabaeans, all who believe in Allah and the Last Day and act rightly, will have their reward with their Lord. They will feel no fear and will know no sorrow. (Surat al-Baqara, 62)

Those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabaeans and the Christians, all who believe in Allah and the Last Day and act rightly will feel no fear and will know no sorrow. (Surat al-Maida, 69)

Those to whom We have given the Book, who recite it in the way it should be recited, such people believe in it. (Surat al-Baqara, 121)

Who could have a better religion than someone who submits himself completely to Allah and is a good-doer, and follows the religion of Abraham, a man of pure natural belief? Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend. (Surat an-Nisa’, 125)

But those of them [the Jews] who are firmly rooted in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you: those who establish prayer and pay alms, and believe in Allah and the Last Day – We will pay such people an immense wage. (Surat an-Nisa’, 162)

How the Food of the People of the Book Is Lawful for Muslims

Today all good things have been made lawful for you. And the food of those given the Book is also lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. So are chaste women from among the believers and chaste women of those given the Book before you, once you have given them their dowries in marriage, not in fornication or taking them as secret intrigues. But as for anyone who rejects faith, his actions will come to nothing and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. (Surat al- Maida, 5)

Abiding by the Haneef (Natural Pure) Faith of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh)

Say, ‘We believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us and Jacob‘qub and the Tribes, and what Moses and Jesuswere given, and what all the Prophets were given by their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. We are Muslims submitted to Him.’ (Surat al-Baqara, 136)
If their belief is the same as yours then they are guided. But if they turn away, they are entrenched in hostility. Allah will be enough for you against them. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (Surat al-Baqara, 137)

Muslims’ Call to the People of the Book

Say, ‘People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you – that we should worship none but Allah and not associate any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides Allah.’ If they turn away, say, ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.’ (Surah Al ‘Imran, 64)
The people with the strongest claim to Abraham are those who followed him and this Prophet and those who belive. Allah is the Protector of the believers. (Surah Al ‘Imran, 68)

How They Recognize the Messenger

Those We have given the Book recognize it as they recognize their own children. As for those who have lost their own selves, they have no faith. (Surat al- An‘am, 20)

PEOPLE OF THE BOOK IN THE QUR’AN

Say, “People of the Book! Come to a proposition which is the same for us and you – that we should worship none but Allah and not associate any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides Allah.”If they turn away, say, ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.’ (Surah Al'Imran, 64)

Today all good things have been made halal lawful for you. And the food of those given the Book is also halal lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. So are chaste women from among the muminun and chaste women of those given the Book before you, once you have given them their dowries in marriage, not in fornication or taking them as secret intrigues. But as for anyone who rejects faith, his actions will come to nothing and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers. (Surat al Ma’ida, 5)

Among the people of the Book there are some who believe in Allah and in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down to them, and who are humble before Allah. They do not sell Allah’s Signs for a paltry price. Such people will have their reward with their Lord. And Allah is swift at reckoning. (Surah Al'Imran, 199)

Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition, and argue with them in the kindest way. Your Lord knows best who is misguided from His way. And He knows best who are guided. (Surat an-Nahl, 125)

You will find that the people most hostile to those who have iman are the Jews and the mushrikun. You will find the people most affectionate to those who have iman are those who say, ‘We are Christians.’ That is because some of them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant. (Surat al-Ma'ida, 82)

Only argue with the People of the Book in the kindest way – except in the case of those of them who do wrong – saying, ‘We believe in what has been sent down to us and what was sent down to you. Our God and your God are one and we submit to Him.’ (Surat al-'Ankabut, 46)

...There is a community among the People of the Book who are upright. They recite Allah’s signs throughout the night, and they prostrate. They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and compete in doing good. They are among the righteous. You will not be denied the reward for any good thing you do. Allah knows those who fear Allah. (Surah Al'Imran,113-115)

Those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabaeans and the Christians, all who believe in Allah and the Last Day and act rightly will feel no fear and will know no sorrow. (Surat al-Ma’ida, 69)

Allah does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes,or from being just towards them. Allah loves those who are just. (Surat al-Mumtahana, 8)

PRESS CONFERENCE HELD BY ADNAN OKTAR AND THE ISRAELI DELEGATION (January 20, 2010)

ADNAN OKTAR: First of all, welcome everyone. It is an honor to have you here. Our guests are are welcomed. It’s also an honor to have them here. Oktar I think you will introduce our guests...
OKTAR BABUNA: Welcome. I’d like to introduce my guests starting from right. On the right, Mr. Japhet Tsedaka –Samaritans are a branch of Jews in Israel, he is the head of the Samaritan community. Again from Israel, Mussa Hadi-Hurrian Dimitri, Orthodox Christian leader, sitting right next to him, Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander, from Sanhedrin the Rabbinical Court in Jerusalem, Jerusalem Court for Issues of Bnei Noah. We see Mr. Ayoob Kara right next to him. Mr. Ayoob Kara is the Deputy Minister of the Development of Negev and Galilee. He is the only non-Jewish member of the Israeli Cabinet. He is the closest non-Jewish person to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He has the objective of establishing strong and warm relations among Jews, Muslims and Christians as well as all other religions and he is showing efforts to this end. Right next to me is the leader of the Druze community, Sheikh Ameen Kablan-Abdul Amin Kabalan. Again, on my other side is Rabbi Benjamin Abrahamson from Sanhedrin. He is the advisor to Sanhedrin on issues related with Islam. Right next to him is the Bedouin Leader Atef Krinawi. And Mr. Ehraim Lahav is senior strategy consultant from the office of the Prime Minister. He is also the General Director of the Academic Association in Israel.
ADNAN OKTAR: Gentlemen, I think it would be more pleasant for you to ask questions. So, let us first receive your questions, then I will make further explanations if required and we may go on with the discussion. However you like, or else I could talk about topics in general. But I think questions would be much better. Please go on.
REPORTER: What is the main purpose for so many people from Israel to come here? These conversations have been continuing for the last two days. What are the topics of exchange, what did you talk about and what is your intention? I would especially like to underline that considering the tension between Turkey and Israel these days, how was it possible to accept this invitation?
ADNAN OKTAR: Three or five people could tense up Israel, yet there are seventy million people in Turkey. Also there are millions of people in Israel but they are not frustrated at all. This tension is only among a group of ten to fifteen people and this does not interest us. We have no tension with Israel. A television series, a novel or a play does not ill repute Israel in our eyes. In the same way, any act against the Turks in Israel such as a chair placed low or high does not offend Turkishness in any way. That is considered to be the mistake of that person only and an individual, local error. And it’s not accepted by the Israeli people either. There is no such thing that the entire Israel accepts this act. Therefore, we have no tension with Israel, this is an artificial happening. These types of occurrences will recur but will come to pass with no effect, let me say that. Other than this, if you have any other question, you may ask. I think you would like to ask further.
REPORTER: Could we direct questions to your guests? What do they think?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, sure, certainly you may ask.
REPORTER: Can I please ask you of what do you think about the tension between Israel and Turkey just happened before you arrived? Why did you come especially in that moment to Turkey, so how would you describe what happened before?
ADNAN OKTAR: Excuse me, do we need the translation of my statement? These people know English, but I spoke in Turkish. They do not know what I said. If you don’t mind, let him [the interpreter] explain what I’ve just said.
AYOOB KARA: Yes. First of all, we came here. We have here delegation that represents all the religions, Islam, among Israel. Because Muslim is the person who gives himself to God. That means everyone who believes in One God is a Muslim. As a Christian, as a Druze, as a Jewish, as everyone. So when we see that there are religious fundamentalism in the world, all of us, all of us, Muslims, as Jewish, as Christian, we need to stop it. And if we want to stop it. We need people like Mr. Oktar, that cry to finish to stop everything that make the weather hot between Islam and the other religions, between Israel and Turkey. And I am thinking, in Israel most of the citizens, all of the citizens in Israel, Jewish or non-Jewish believe that Turkey is a country that we must support each other; [that] we have much interest together and [that] we must continue together. If there have been any mistake with some officer does not a stop or finish this relationship.
ADNAN OKTAR: Let me go on by answering your question on the purpose of our coming together. Two opinions struggle in the world; on one side there are believers in Allah and on the other side the unbelievers. The believers will unite in this struggle between the believers and the unbelievers. Christians, Jews and Muslims will stand shoulder to shoulder in their struggle against Darwinism and materialism. But surely this is not a fierce struggle but will be based on love, compassion and mercy as well as science and arts. This time, this intellectual struggle is won by believers in Allah. This is the century when believers in Allah prevails. Consequently all satanic plots like wars, conflicts and battles end in this century. This means the fight between Palestine and Israel will also come to an end. We will stop any attempt to drive a wedge between Turkey and Israel. Actually, we have already stopped that. For instance, this meeting has ended that issue. We will not be deceived by such a plot. There are people that want to stir up this issue on both sides. There may be a bunch of people to fall into such traps, but huge masses have never been deceived and will never be.
We love the ones who believe in Allah and they love us, too. This is how it will be until the Last Day. We are in the era of the Messiah (Moschiach), in the era of the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). The Messiah’s appearance is described in detail in the Torah and all the signs have come about. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and Hazrat Messiah (pbuh) are the same person. This is indicated in the Qur’an, and also clearly stated in the Torah. The hadith also mention the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and Hazrat Messiah (pbuh) are the same person, and scholars will see this in their research. Some people may wonder if these matters are metaphysical. Yes, they are metaphysical. The world is metaphysical. People will see that metaphysics will dominate this century. Religion is dominant in the Middle East which means that religion directs people. Religion keeps people together, gives them moral strength and provides the source of their lives. For that reason we see that believers prevail in this century, as a matter of fact we have already seen it and will also see in the future. This way we demonstrate that attempts to break up Israel and Turkey are all vain plots. This is one of our objectives.
A second purpose is soldier Gilad Schalit and his status. He is also a son of ours, he is also a brother of ours and on the basis of our consciences, we are surely disturbed about his condition. Yet, we are also disturbed about the condition of our Palestinian brothers in Israel. We are constrained of their condition in prisons. However, what we say is not that the terrorists in Israel should be released so that they pursue terror in Israel. There may be an amnesty, but they should come out with angel-like morals and hug Israelis with love and be brothers in order that this war ends. Soldier Gilad should be released so that he may return to his family with joy and happiness. There is also another aspect of that lad’s circumstances that concerns me. It is an anguish for a person to live every day with fear of death. It is very difficult to endure that. A person in prison would not experience this fear, while a person under such circumstances will do. This needs to be taken into consideration as well. This kind of distress lasting for years is a very hard condition to endure, that should also be considered. But the circumstances that the young girls and also others are under in Israeli prisons is also distressing us. But of course we want them to get out of the prisons with good manners like the angels, we want them to hug Israelis warmly and there to be an environment of brotherhood.
I suppose soldier Gilad’s father Noam Shalit will come to Turkey in the following days, insha’Allah. We do not wish to give the details of his visit due to security reasons, but we are in contact with him. We do all in our power. We are trying to form public opinion. It is very important to form a public opinion. Especially the public opinion of Turkey is vital. But we shall not inform the public about his arrival date and time. This is important for us for the purposes of security. We do not want any unpleasant incident to happen. We want these issues to be solved with ease. Of course we don’t need to give all the details of the effort we put and what we are doing. But we have good, nice, peaceful, brotherly and friendly endeavors and this will continue. We love our Israeli brothers very much. These beloved friends of ours visit us from time to time. I see them as my brothers. They are my brothers in La Ilaha Illa Allah (there is no deity but Allah). Some may try to drive a wedge between us as much as they like, but we will not allow that. They try to ground this argument of theirs on a verse in the Qur’an. They misunderstand the Qur’an.
In the Qur’an Allah says, “do not take the non-Muslims as awliya,” which means “do not take them as rulers, governors, prime ministers.” And this is quite normal, this statement is a blessing for us from the Qur’an. As there cannot be a Muslim prime minister in Israel, of course there won’t be a Jewish prime minister in Turkey. Naturally, the public will not want that. Of course people will want a Muslim leader. Therefore this is what is indicated in the Qur’an. This verse does not mean that they are dangerous or harmful people. Allah wants us to be compassionate toward them, and to protect and guard them. We brought Jews to our lands from Spain. Did not our ancestors know that? We welcomed them in the best manner. The People of the Book were at ease at the time of the Messenger of Allah (saas). Christians, Jews were all living in brotherhood and friendship. We will establish the same brotherly environment.
No one can drive wedge between Israel and Turkey. We do not cease to care for Israel because of some movies, theatres or ads. Our reference source is the Qur’an and the Torah. We look at the Torah. But of course according to our faith our main reference source is the Qur’an. We act according to the Qur’an. We see the Children of Israel as what is revealed in the Qur’an. They are a line of the prophets, they are a blessed line, we will never let anyone harm even a hair on their head. They were on a kind of strained terms with Iran for a while. Ahmadinejad made a statement, saying “we will wipe Israel off the map.” Then I sent him a message, and said a Muslim can never make such a statement because it is forbidden. It is a sacred land. There are Christian, Muslim and Jew brothers there. There are religious people, children in that country. It is wrong to make such a statement. I also said, we are only intellectually opposed to atheist Zionists there. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will not shed blood, he will not awaken anyone asleep, even the nose of people will not bleed, I explained. I explained that with hadiths. Then Ahmadinejad said the same word by word in an official statement. This is a very very good progress, he changed his statement 180 degrees. So we see that he is a positive person, and he is open to suggestions. I told that atomic bomb is forbidden and also told him to say this publicly. Just as you saw the news report in the daily Hurriyet as the headline. Iran made an official statement saying “atomic bomb is forbidden.” Consequently, whoever drops an atomic bomb on Israel will find us against him. No one can do such a thing, no one can dream of it. Let alone actually doing, no one can even dream of it. From now on we will never let anyone in the region or in the world to do such a thing. From now on there is no such thing. We are in the age of peace, brotherhood and love. This kind of things will never happen.
Yes, I apologize, it was a little long, but it is important.
AYOOB KARA: My family came to Israel 400 years ago from Turkey so you have agency in Israel also.
ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, our friends from the press can go on with their questions. Yes please.
REPORTER: Do you have any contact with Hamas regarding this Israeli soldier? If yes, how is the reaction of Hamas to your request?
ADNAN OKTAR: We do not have any contact with Hamas. But we will convey this issue to every group or person we think will be helpful in Islamic terms. We will explain this issue as much as we can, but of course our main target is the effectiveness of the Turkish public’s opinion. Our primary aim is this. Yes please.
REPORTER: Will the Israeli officials be in contact with other groups?
ADNAN OKTAR: No, they are here as my guests only, I am hosting them. And I love them very much, they love me very much. Yes please.
REPORTER: If you don’t mind, can we have the opinions of your guests shortly about this visit? If they also agree.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes of course.

AYOOB KARA: Of course.
REPORTER: What is your main reason for visiting Turkey? I mean you have been having meetings since yesterday. What is the main point of this visit to Turkey especially when the relations are not so good?
AYOOB KARA: Exactly, we came in this time, Mr. Oktar invited us religious guys from Israel, from all the population between Israel; we are here from the Christian majority between Israel, the Druze, the Islam, the other religions of course the Jews. We came here to say that Turkey and Israel must continue to be together. Mistake of any official will not stop this relationship. And exactly now because it’s very hot; mistake of one or two people does not change what the relationship for all the history that we do it together. So, we came here to say that the peace and to live together and to be together and support each other is the way that we need and we hope to be in good touch with the religious people. Here between Turkish like Mr. Oktar the same steps he is thinking. He is thinking that we need people that say all the time ‘let us be together, let’s go together with the steps of peace’. There are enough places for all the citizens here in the Middle East and the world to live together. We have One God for all of us, so it is exactly the time to come here to stop this mistake that happened before 2 days or one week because nothing changed between the population between Israel and the Turkey.
ADNAN OKTAR: It is wrong even to refer to it as a tension. Ten people will come about and say that there is tension between Turkey and Israel. And then will 70 million people here say “oh, yes, there is tension”? And will the millions there [in Israel] say “oh, yes, there is tension”? There is no such thing. We love Israel, they love us, too. They believe in the One Allah, and so do we. They believe in the prophets, Heaven and Hell. They are immaculate people. They are from the line of Prophets, we feel compassion and love for them. Allah entrusted them to us, insha’Allah.
I’ve said 2 years ago that the Turkish Islamic Union will be established. Back then people thought it was a tale, but now you see that what I’ve said is coming true, the visa requirements have been lifted with many countries. All the countries, with which the visa requirement is lifted, are the candidates of the Turkish Islamic Union. After that the passport requirement will also be lifted. The visa requirement with Israel will be lifted as well. You’ll see. Passport requirements will also be lifted, so Israel will be among our neighbors we can freely visit. States will be as independent and national states, but borders will be lifted in this respect. And therefore friendship and brotherhood will mark this century. People will no longer dare to fight or to cause terror; wars have now ended in this century. Terrorism too will end rapidly, and you will see it.
The age of the system of the Mahdi (pbuh) and the Messiah (pbuh) will begin. When we talk about the system of the Mahdi (pbuh) and the Messiah (pbuh), people regard it as a dream. Yes, it is like a dream in a sense. There will be extraordinary improvements in arts, science, aesthetics and beauty. The Torah has explained it in great detail. We will see this beauty in fine detail. We will see that democracy is more excellent and freedom of ideas is more excellent. We will see that the conception of love will reach the most excellent level insha’Allah. We will see that all the bloodshed and the suffering were for nothing. Darwinism and materialism have so far caused the death of some 350 million people. They have caused the World Wars I and II. They have erased love from people’s hearts. They have caused the destruction of thousands of villages, towns and cities. But in this century this plot of satan’s is now over. As you know, we have explained Darwinism; that there are no intermediary form fossils, and that there are about 300 million living fossils. A hundred-million-year-old creature is the same as today’s; and we proved it. We proved that proteins can by no means change through evolution, and for the formation of a protein of a living cell is needed. Hence, Darwinism is no more. Although they are thrashing around, it is evident to everyone that it is artificial. Jews, Christians and Muslims have all been relieved by Darwinism’s defeat. Henceforth, the way to love, friendship and brotherhood is wide open. Noisy advertisers of artifical conflicts had better stop trying; there are no more wars from now on.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, please.
REPORTER: Sir, when you say that, your message to President Ahmedinejad, and changes his declaration by that, do you mean that you convinced him stop building nuclear arms and using against Israel? Second quesiton is what is your solution to the conflict between the Israeli and Palestinians?
ADNAN OKTAR: As I’ve said earlier, we’ll collapse the vault of heaven on anyone even imagining using atomic bomb on Israel. No-one will allow such a thing to happen. Turkey will not allow such a thing. Let Israel be at ease on this matter. Besides, it’s definitely forbidden (haram) in Islam; such mass destruction weapons are forbidden. That is because there are many Muslims, many Christians in Israel, as well as many devout Jews living by the Torah. On what grounds could an atomic bomb be dropped on these people? It is impossible for a believer to do that, therefore such a worry is completely unnecessary. I’ve spoken with Israeli officials earlier, and also with Iranian people who are actually involved in the case. There is this unnecessary anxiety; yet such a thing happening is impossible, just impossible. Let your hearts be at peace on this.
For one thing, Jews are descendants of the prophets. There is no question of destroying the descendants of the prophets with atomic bombing. This cannot happen. According to the Qur’an, according to the verses of the Qur’an, you will continue to exist until the Last Day. There are Jews until the Last Day and you, by Allah’s leave, are in our custody, under our protection. By Allah’s leave, we’ll never allow any harm being inflicted on Jews. Neither on Christians. By no means. And we’ll never allow fighting. Some ten people came up and said “we caused a crisis”. We returned the crisis back to them. A crisis of ten people. I mean, these are artificial events, artificial tensions. Falling for them means supporting the artificial tension.
REPORTER: If you don’t mind, may we hear from your other guests’ than Mr. Kara their ideas on the subject, even in a few sentences?
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. Let him [the interpreter] explain it first, and then we’ll continue.
REPORTER: I have a question to your guests, if possible. There is fear and concern that there is antisemitism here in Turkey and that it will move to radicalism. Do you agree with this?
ADNAN OKTAR: Are you directing your question to Mr. Kara or should Mr. Hollander proceed?
AYOOB KARA: (Translating the question to Mr. Hollander in Hebrew.)
RABBI YESHAYAHU HOLLANDER: I must say that this happening is so suprising that anyone who would make a prediction is sticking his neck out. It would seem from a rational analysis that there is only one direction and that is direction of conflict. If you take the materialistic point of view, where are the material interests of Israel, of Turkey, of Palestinians, Palestinian Arabs? And we’ll say this is a collision. If you read the papers, you’ll see we are in a collision path. If you read what the academics say about the interests of Turkey, you will see the interests of Turkey are not to be from here, from Israel. Of the state of Turkey, not the Turkish people. We are talking about politics and government and governments’ relationship. However, it is clear that rational analysis is not sufficient, based on economics, Marxism. Marxism is rampage you know, Marxist country or empire has fallen. But the Marxist set of mind has not changed and people think that what motivates nations and what moves the world are basically economic and power interests.
Now, today is Wednesday. All over the world, whereever Jews are, and on Saturday they will be reading about the Pharaoh and how he was moved by the Almighty. You can try to explain it rationally into collision forces with Israel. And the collision actually did occur and the Jews were saved. But we see that in his mind, he had good reason to stop fighting the Jews after he saw one after the other and there were ten plagues against the Egyptians. There were not enough reason. And a rational human being could say after three or four, “ok I’ve had enough”. He didn’t. It says that his heart was hardened by the Almighty for that everyone should see the hands of the Almighty in history. We are seeing today, I believe, we are seeing here the hand of the Almighty in history.
... What actually happened in 1948 was that a few hundred thousands, I don’t know how many hundred thousands, the statistics of the UN are usually unreliable about this. It is said 400.000 Palestinian Arabs left their homes and moved to camps in Lebanon, in Gazza and Jordan. At the same time, about 650.000 or 700.000 Jews left Arab lands to come to Israel. Most of their possessions were confiscated by the Arab governments. And they came to Israel, a country which had no resources and it became a prosperous country. And the Arab refugees were left, were confined to the camps for so many years by the Arab countries, they did not let them leave. In Lebanon, a person who was in the Lebanese camp was not allowed to leave the camps. They could not get any education. They could not develop economically. They were kept by the Arab countries as hostage for the politics. This is very sad. And this is against Judaism and I believe, I don’t know Islam, but I’m sure it is against Islam. This was an example of politics preceding, taking presedence of religion. This is great mistake especially in the Middle East.
In history, we have seen time and time again that things don’t go according to political interest. But in the Middle East where most of the population, I would say a making a rough guess 99.8% of the population are sincerely religious, that does not mean that everyone does everything their religion demands from them. People often do what is considered as sins. But all people, the great majority of people believe in God and have relationship with God. Not every day, some people more, some people less. But the society in the Middle East is definetly a religious society. Even in Turkey, even during the time until the recent government. Most of the people they didn’t pray five times a day, or maybe they didn’t pray once a day but they still knew that they are connected to the Almighty through their religion. And it is not nearly lip service. Today certainly for 20 years, 30 years that Mr. Adnan Oktar has been preaching first of all to the Turkish people to return to their religion and that happened to a large extent. I cannot measure the extent, I only see, you can see from the politics in Turkey also that people have become more conscious of their religion and turn more to God than even before. So what is happening is I believe a world revolution in which the understanding even of secular politicians that religion is something that has to be taken into consideration, will cause a revolution.
Today for instance an amazing thing happened to me. As I was preparing to come to here, I got a phone call from Israel and they sent me a statement made by the grand mufti of Syria. Just recently. The grand mufti Hassoun of Syria. And he said that –of course he did not say it in English, he probably said it in Arabic, but I don’t know Arabic, and this is what I have- he said, Prophet Muhammad (saas) did not ask me to deem Christians or Jews heretics. Prophet Muhammad (saas) did not say that the Jews and the Christians are heretics, kafir. Because that is not correct. Sheikh Ahmad Hussain said that Islam being a religion of peace, he added Prophet Muhammad (saas) did not command us to kill people. He continued; religious wars were not the result of religion but the result of politics, infiltrating systems of faith and he asked; was Moses (pbuh) a Middle Eastern or European descent, was Jesus (pbuh) a Palestinian or a Catholic, was Mohammed (saas) Shi’a or Sunni? According to the mufti the conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbours has nothing to do with an Islamic war against Judaism. He added; before you got American citizenship and I received Syrian citizenship, he told we are all brothers under the dome of God. He also added; Jews once lived in Syria peacefully and with fair treatment, and his own grandfather, the grand mufti had a Jewish partner. Jews lived in Syria for years and they still have their own Syrian society which is for me a bit of fact, cause I don’t know how many they are in Syria.
Now, I want to get back to the main theme of the way the world is going as Mr. Adnan Oktar has been saying for the last, since I know him which is only about 8 months. Since people are beginning to recognize, secular politicians, or in other words, why don’t secular politicians understand this? They can’t, it is not their fault. People who have not been brought up with certain understandings can hardly ever develope them after the age of development of understanding has passed. You all know that when you want to teach a child a language, the younger you teach it the better the person learns. It is difficult to teach elderly people new languages unless there are few people who learn languages all their lives. There was one person that learned 136 languages from reading the Bible. In each language he learned, he learned it from reading the Bible. He surely knew the Bible very well. So people who have been brought up in secular society are not capable of understanding the importance and value of religion in the lives of religious people. So what is happening in Turkey and other places is [that] the demographics are [showing] that there are more and more religious people. And this will change the world under One God. Come to all of us, we will find peace in ways which He alone knows.
ADNAN OKTAR: Masha’Allah. If our Orthodox Christian friend would like to say something, he may do so now.
FATHER HURRIAN DIMITRI: First of all, I hope to thank Mr. Oktar for inviting us here and also to thank Mr. Ayoob Kara for inviting us too to interview here. And thank you because you will send this message to all the world, to the Muslims in the world and all the people in the world. You know and everybody knows that the Christians and the Orthodox Christians believe that God is love. And we produce love between all the churches and all the people. And we came here to send a big message that we need you to develop this love and to be together with all the religions in the world. So we came from Israel here to say only a few words. When we met Mr. Oktar, we saw his spirit, warmth and love and he changed all the opinions in the world, especially in Turkey to believe that a human will be a human... And we believe that we can make change like Obama said when he got elected: We will change and we will not believe in violence and we will not believe in radicalism or the terrorist people who believe that they will change the world with this method. We will stop them and we will say that we only believe in God, in One God, a country perfectly believes in One God.
I’ll take a few words from the Bible and say; when Jesus (pbuh) asks someone “Do you love your brother?” He says “if you don’t love your brother but you say you love God though you don’t see God, so why don’t you love your neighboor and your brother when you see them”. So I’ll tell you, this is a short message; if the people don’t love one another, we cannot live in this world in peace. So because love will build a bridge between all cultures, between all the countries, between all the people and this message is for you to send to the world. And Mr. Oktar, really you are like Muhammad (saas) in Islam who’s given a big religion, and you are here a big man to change all the opinion about the violence and about the Muslims in the world. And I suppose that you will make a long way to achieve your aim and we believe in this and thank you very much.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes please.
REPORTER: You talked about these problems between Turkey and Israel being political, that caused politicians in Turkey say they are merely representing the public sentiment about the disproportionate force that Israel used against the Palestinians at the ongoing siege on Gazza. How can you explain to the Turkish public this situation and this is to the Israeli Minister Mr. Kara and to Adnan Oktar; I came to the press conference slightly late but could you confirm that Gilad Shalit’s father has contacted you personally and asked you to be a negotiator? Do you feel that you’ve... How are you going to put this into practice? Do you have any influence for example in Palestine with Hamas? Thank you very much.
ADNAN OKTAR: I thank you very much too. This is not something related only to Hamas; there are many religious communities in Turkey and our nation as a whole is already a Muslim community. Consequently, the conviction of Turkey, the conviction of Turkish people will be very influential in the Arab world, in Hamas as well as other places. The way we communicate our views, our thoughts is not one-dimensional. We primarily want terror, anarchy and wars to come to a halt. We want bloodshed to come to an end in any case. We do not accept neither state terror nor personal terror. Consequently nowhere do we want bloodshed. We also want all weapons to be removed from the face of the world. Because the Torah and the hadiths mention the very same subject. When Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) comes all weapons will be removed. The very same notion is stated in the Torah; it is stated that spears, arrows, all will be melted and turned into farmer’s catapult when Messiah (pbuh) comes. That is to say, Torah mentiones the use of technology and removal of weapons. We are now in this time, in this age right now. Consequently making war and terror is not something for a wise person. So does bloodshed. It is cruelty, atrocity. In this century we will remove this from the face of the world insha’Allah. Consequently we will also remove artificial environments. There is no reason why Israel and Palestine should not be brothers. Furthermore, they are both the descendants of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh); one of them is from the sons of Ishmael (pbuh), Arabs are the descendants of the sons of Ishmael, the other side, Jews are the sons of Israel, they are the descendants of Jacob (pbuh). Consequently the war is entirely artificial and evil. It will be very influential to mold public opinion against them.
REPORTER: Do you confirm that Gilad Shalit’s father has contacted you personally?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, we have contact with Gilad Shalit’s father on the phone. We are in touch, he is a polite, nice person. From the way he speaks it is seen that he is a respectful person. He wants to come insha’Allah in the coming days. But we will keep its day and hour for security reasons. We surely do not want those parents to suffer in that way. We, meanwhile, surely do not want Gilad Shalit to live there in fear of death. I saw him recently on the television and felt a deep pity and compassion for him. Yet, similarly we want Allah to rescue our sisters, mothers and brothers from the Israeli prisons, from those harsh conditions insha’Allah. We also want Allah to rescue Gilad Shalit insha’Allah. But of course, as I said before, we want those coming out of prisons with the good morals of angels, with a beautiful understanding of love, good morality. You will see this happen in the coming 10-20 years. Besides, as glad tidings to our Christian and Muslim brothers, Prophet Jesus Messiah (pbuh) will come. The coming of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will be in 10-20 years. This is a great glad tiding.
REPORTER: The same question for the Deputy Minister.
AYOOB KARA: First of all I want to support and invite Mr. Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun from Syria. And what he said today about the Jews and Christians in the world, in Israel and I will invite him to visit Israel. I think this is the same way, the same the steps that Mr . Oktar also says in every corner, that it is important for people to understand that we in the Middle East could be together, we could support each other. We could do peace together... What could we do? What do we have to do again more than the steps we take? So we are sure that when we find religious people like Mr. Oktar, like Mr. Hassoun from Syria, there are other people who support the way that all the religions could live together. I think from the side of Israel there is no problem.
...
REPORTER: Are you hopeful that the elections could pave the way forward then? Are you hopeful of the elections that will take place in a couple of months, let’say June maybe?
AYOOB KARA: We don’t do this. This is the business of the Palestinians, we are not a party in this case. But we hope that there will be a leadership which will be a partner to us, which will come back and sit with us and together we will find a solution. To go to peace is for the interest of Israel and for the interest of all the area. Previously I was trying to open also the border of Syria, I don’t know if you have heard about that. I’ve opened the border in Conetra. I did it and I sent 600 people to Syria. I am trying. I told my friend Oktar to help me in Syria and to continue this peace process. I think that it is important and it is for our interest. I hope that everyone understand that we need peace in this area more than the other side?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes please.
REPORTER: ... (Asking about the situation in Gazza.)
ADNAN OKTAR: ... But when we consider this subject, it is evident that it is not normal. That is, no matter who says what, it is not normal. There is bloodshed. If there is bloodshed, no one can bring an explanation to that, in no way. No one can show any reasonable aspect of it. No matter who sheds the blood, whether Palestinians launch rockets or Israelis bomb, this, in no way becomes reasonable. There is no explanation for that. The only solution is, please notice that I underline it, is the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), Hazrat Messiah (pbuh) will handle this. Otherwise this war, this issue will not come to an end. That is, discussing the matter will never yield any results. Every party will have the right in his own way. One party would say they are being bombed, rocketed and thus defend himself. From this viewpoint, that party may consider himsef to be right. The other party would say his members are held captive and under pressure and thus on behalf of Allah they defend themselves. He may have a rationale in his own way and launch rockets to the other party. These are all wrong. There is something abnormal here. This bloodshed will come to an end. Notice that I underline this; there is no explanation other than this according to the hadith, the Qur’an and Torah. This is an issue that will be resolved by Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and Hazrat Messiah (pbuh).
Discussing the matter here will yield no results. Only voices will be raised, tension will occur and no results will be achieved. We are responsible of abating the environment, that is we will avoid tension. We will turn this struggle into love, compassion, mercy and friendship. These conversations will escalate the tension and give harm. If they prove to be beneficial, believe me that I would also encourage them. But it does not. And I make it clear what the solution is: Other than Mahdism there is no solution whatsoever. These people want this, that is, they want peace, brotherhood and love. Of course there is pain in their hearts while Palestinian mothers, sisters pass away there, while they are being martyrized, while Israelis suffer from the consequences of suicide bombing. Let’s assume that bombs are being exploded, I am talking about the incidents in the past. These are so painful as well, but I do believe that these incidents will come to an end. That is we can not reach anywhere by such discussions. Believe me, we will only do harm.
We will accept them to be the incidents of the past, we will cover them with ashes with a forgiving, compassionate and merciful approach and pass to a brand new life, to a brand new concept of love. There is no way other than that. They try to set Sunnis against Shias but are not satisfied with it and want to set Israel against Muslim countries. There are many Christian friends trying to do this and they consider this as a happy ending. That is, they see it in this way according to their beliefs. There is also those who want to set Christians against Muslims. Consequently let’s not fan the flames. There are many people who desire it. We have the power to cover it, to stop it. Being subjected to Mahdism and Messianism, listening to our Prophet’s (saas) words, listening to the Torah’s peaceful explanations is the only solution. Apart from that believe me you will only be sorry, nothing else comes out.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, any other questions? Please.
REPORTER: I have a question for Mr. Kara: You have been talking about the soldier Shalit, but you didn’t mention it in the purpose of your visit. If you have a message from Shalit’s family to Mr. Oktar, can you tell us about the contents of that message?
AYOOB KARA: Yes, a few days after Mr. Oktar invited me, I was speaking on the radio, in the media about the invitation, Mr. Shalit called me and said that he needed to come to this meeting with me to visit Mr. Oktar. Someting happened within the family at the last minute and he had to stay in Israel but he sent a message through me to Mr. Oktar that he wanted him to do everything he could from the religious side, from the human rights side, everything he needs to do to bring back his son to them. And I think in a few days maybe, if he finds a way to come to Turkey, it’s also important for him to meet Mr. Oktar, he needs that. I had only two days to come here and it was a problem for them. I’m sure he will find a day in next week or after that to come to visit Mr. Oktar. Because he knows that the religious leader of Islam maybe can make more than politicians, maybe this is the way to influence Hamas, to influence the fundamentalist organizations. And I also think that Mr. Oktar understands what is necessary to bring back Mr. Shalit. Because we were speaking about him last night and I’m hopeful because he promised us to do everything to bring our son back home as quick as he can.
REPORTER: May I ask a question?
ADNAN OKTAR: Please.
REPORTER: I am asking to Mr. Kara. Actually the reason we have gathered here is universal and deserves congratulation so much that in this respect the fact that we have attended is good. However, many of our foreign press colleagues asks about the Israeli soldier. I want to ask another question. Many of our Palestenian brothers, just as Mr. Oktar has told, are in prisons at the moment. In Turkey first of all there is the democratic opening and there are advances conducted by the government regarding some of the problems people are experiencing in Turkey. You are also a member of the government. Is there any opening, a development regarding our Palestenian brothers, sisters or people of your own line who are in the prisons there? Are you making any effort about them? That is to say, we are feeling the suffering that the people there and your Israeli soldier are going through, but is there any effort made regarding this [other] side? Or is it only one side that is being cared for? What do say?
ADNAN OKTAR: Now let’s halt a minute. This subject is somewhat open to discussion. But let’s ask him by summarizing, anyhow I will make a statement after his accordingly. Okay, please proceed.
AYOOB KARA: Yes. there are negotiations in the government on this case, all the time. We have some guys from Germany all the time who go to Hamas and come back to Israel all the time, we’re talking with these people. We need to come to a conclusion and also our Prime Minister needs to close this case and we have to wait for the answer from the side of Hamas. We gave our answer. They have a problem between some of the people they need to be sent free. We hope we’ll get an answer in one week- two weeks time from the side of these guys, to make a decision for the future what will go on.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, please.
REPORTER: (First asking in Hebrew) Is Mr. Kara going to meet with and speak to official men from this government except Mr. Oktar?
ADNAN OKTAR: They will not as far as I know, but you can ask him.
AYOOB KARA: The politicians are coming here and trying to do all the actions about Shalit on the governmental basis. From my position, I think I’m going to a new way, that religious people especially in Islam have influence more than politicians. On the way coming to meet Mr. Oktar, I said to myself that maybe we found the answer for all the fundamentalism that is becoming more and more strange I think in the Middle East. And maybe the religious guys, there are people that lead religion everywhere in Turkey and in other countries, maybe this is the way to stop this religious fundamentalism. Because of that I came here, I’m sure that we can succeed because the other side they go in it. I think government does it, but in this side nobody does. I think this is important for me, because I promised myself that I want to open the border between Syria and Israel, from the human rights side, from the religious side. And I will succeed in a few months. I’ve sent many people to many places, religious places from Israel to Syria. I hope that again people coming also to visit us from Syria.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, please.
PRESSMAN: If I understood correctly, you gave the glad news that in 10-20 years the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, that is correct.
PRESSMAN: Is he alive at this moment, is he among us?
ADNAN OKTAR: In my opinion, he might have come. That is because he will have a long work. He will hide himself, the Prophet Jesus (as) is not out in the open, that is to say his identity will be revealed at the last minute. He will appear at the last minute. He will influence the government officials, superordinate politicians in particular, that’s how Said Nursi explains. He will have a small group of disciples. When he comes, even he does not know himself, he says. He adds that his close disciples will know him by the radiant of faith. The Messiah (pbuh) should have come by now, by around 2002-2003. We believe that the Mahdi (pbuh) might have come also, we told this before. As you know Ahmadinejad made a statement about this. I told him to declare that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) has come. Both Ahmadinejad and Khamenei stated that the Mahdi (pbuh) has come. Hurriyet gave this news in headlines, that the Mahdi (pbuh) is coming. This is a definite command, that is definite belief in Sunni and Shia. It is likewise in Judaism. I told it before that the Messiah (pbuh) that the Jews are expecting and the Mahdi (pbuh) that the Muslims are expecting are the same; however, the Messiah Jesus (pbuh) that our Christian brothers and we are expecting is a different matter. As I told before there is 10-20 years for his appearance.
ADNAN OKTAR: Please.
REPORTER: This one will be detached, but Mehmet Ali Ağca has just come out of prison and is making similar declarations. What do you think about this? That is to say, is the end of the world coming, explanations about the Mahdi?
ADNAN OKTAR: As Said Nursi explains the end of the world, the Doomsday will come around 2120. In the next century Islam will prevail the world, you will see that. First Christians will be more religious, Jews will be more religious and Muslims will be more religious, and then at last the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will come. As per our religion, the world will become Islam, all will be Muslims but Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will rule the Jews with the original Torah and the Christians with the original Gospel. He will turn towards the Muslims with the morality of Islam, of Qur’an. He will defend love, peace and brotherhood. It is the time for the Mahdi (pbuh). None of Said Nursi’s words have turned out to be wrong up till now. It is out of the question for the related hadith to come wrong. All of the signs of the coming of the Mahdi (pbuh) has appeared. I have examined and assessed this issue on rational basis. I don’t believe in fallacy, irrational words. But apart from this, many people claim to be the Mahdi (pbuh) and the Messiah (pbuh). These are not important, no need to ponder upon these. This is not important since the Mahdi (pbuh) never claims that he is the Mahdi (pbuh). That is to say, he will be in charge by force, by asking.
PRESSMAN: So you don’t take seriously the declarations of Ağca, right?
ADNAN OKTAR: It is only Ağca’s words, that is to say he does not fit into the descriptions of the Messiah (pbuh). The account regarding the Messiah (pbuh) is very clear. There are three verses in the Qur’an, when he comes no one can deny it. In other words, there will not be a discussion whether he is the Messiah (pbuh) or not. I mean the power of the Messiah (pbuh) is overwhelming. No one, no person will be able to resist his words, they will not have that power. When he comes, he will perform prayer with the Mahdi (pbuh). Of course this is as per our belief, in Jerusalem and in Hagia Sophia they will perform prayer together. The fact that he will push the Mahdi (pbuh) from his back and make him Imam is clearly mentioned in hadith books called Kutub as-Sitta. This is clear clause in Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Sunan Nasai, Sunan Abu Dawud. In both Sunni and Shia beliefs this is an undeniable subject.
It is very clear that the Messiah (pbuh) will come. But when he comes, there will be no discussion. He is long haired, he has gentle, beautiful face, he has gray eyes, let me describe him so that you’ll know him when you see. He has a gentle face, he is athletic, he has broad shoulders but he has a slim waist. He will be of middle height, he has sharp looks, I mean it is all very clear, he will work miracles. You are young, you will all see, no one will be able to resist. In other words no one will be able to resist neither his personality, nor his character, or his beauty and radiance or the miracles he shows. Yet the Mahdi (pbuh) will end the main problem, that is Israel will be very comfortable in the time of the Mahdi (pbuh). Armenia, Orthodoxes, Protestants, Catholics will all be in full comfort. There will be real peace. The Israel-Palestine conflict will end. There will be a great era of civilization and peace, a great era of love will begin. The developments regarding this is continuing with Turkey in center.
If you are following from the Internet and press, there are intense connections going on with the Arab countries and Turkic countries. These are the work that makes up the foundation for the Turkish Islamic Union. I told it two years ago, you now see that the developments are continuing just like I said. First the visas have been abolished, if you have noticed, the abolishment of visas are continuing. Every country of which the visa has been abolished is a member of the Turkish Islamic Union. I mean there is a plan accordingly and it has been continuing. After these the passports will be out of use. It will be the same in Israel, the visa and passports will be abolished. You will see that this line of the Prophets, the Jews will live in peace and beauty insha’Allah. Let them not be anxious, not be uneasy. There will neither be an atom bomb, nor a war or a conflict or anything. That is to say the era of peace and brotherhood has begun. You will see that what I say is true in 10-20 years. If I say something, it definitely depends on an evidence, on source,. I don’t say anything irrational, I don’t say anything unreasonable and right. Is there anybody that has a question?
REPORTER: I speak on behalf of Seher tv (Iran). I say welcome to our guests, they belong to different religions. If 124 thousand of the Prophets come together, there would be no conflict. Our brothers belonging to different religions have come, for a reason. I thank Mr. Adnan Oktar very much. If we start talking politically, there will be many conflicts between us.
ADNAN OKTAR: Correct.
REPORTER: If there is no politics, then there is no conflict between people. Because as you have said Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is known as the huccet (witness) of the earth
ADNAN OKTAR: MashaAllah.
REPORTER: All religions believe in this. All brothers and sisters believe in this and everyone waits for the justice and justice waits for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), that is our belief. Only under the leadership of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), brotherhood can happen. The wars can come to an end. Iran can only use the nuclear energy for humanity and we could have made nuclear energy only for peace. Iran has never thought of nuclear weapons for war. The people who have used nuclear weapons for war are certain. It has been used in Japan, innocent people have died. But no Islamic country has used weapons of mass destruction. We condemn this whatever belief and mindset it comes from. We want the borders to be abolished, the passports to be abolished under one flag, under the name of humanity since we all have a father and he is Adam (pbuh), we believe in him and we believe Havva (pbuh). We remember the 124 thousand Prophets with respect. Our other brothers, members of different religions, they have come here representing different Prophets. We welcome them, we exist for peace, let them not be afraid of Islam. Islam is present only for peace. Thank you.
ADNAN OKTAR: I thank you too.
OKTAR BABUNA: Could you repeat from which television you came?
REPORTER: Iran,Seher TV.
ADNAN OKTAR: MashaAllah.
AYOOB KARA: Thank you very much.
REPORTER: Thank you very much.
ADNAN OKTAR: Please, anyone else?... If you have no other questions, if you like we can close this. Okay, thank you very much to all of you, thank you.

THE VERY FIRST IN THE ISLAMIC WORLD: ADNAN OKTAR ESTABLISHES BROTHERHOOD BETWEEN JEWS AND MUSLIMS

The meeting Mr. Adnan Oktar held with the committee from Israel was followed with great interest both by the Islamic world and the West, and accepted to be a great step towards the establishment of peace in Middle East.

On January 20, 2010, Wednesday, Mr. Adnan Oktar held a press meeting with a broad committee from Israel including the leaders of various religious groups and Mr. Ayoob Kara, the Deputy Minister of the Development of the Negev and Galilee. The purpose of the press conference is declared to prevent the artificial tensions striven to be formed between Muslims and Jews, to ensure the establishment of peace in the region and make a call to the public for the release of Israeli Private Gilad Shalit, who has been held captive for a long time.
Mr. Adnan Oktar delivered a speech in the meeting and stated that Muslims and Jews were the descendants of Prophet Abraham (pbuh)—one party being the descendant of the sons of Ishmael whereas the other being the descendant of the sons of Jacob—and thus the conflicts occurring between the two communities were quite unfounded. He further added that Jews and Christians were committed to their trust and, just like in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), he would ensure best protection for them, and let neither Jews, nor Christians and nor Muslims be subjected to the slightest harm, stressing that this was the kind of attitude in compliance with the Qur’an and the hadith. Mr. Oktar stressed that the century in which we lived was the “Age of Mahdism” and that from then on wars, bloodshed and terror would come to an end, all weapons would be left and love would reign all over the world, the Middle East being the foremost. In reply to the question about the Iran’s nuclear weapon production, Mr. Oktar said that according to the Qur’an, the use of atomic bomb was unlawful (haram) and he sent a message to the Iranian Prime Minister Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about this issue and, indeed no sooner Iran made a statement declaring that atomic bomb was unlawful and thus Iran would not use it. Mr. Oktar also added that Turkish daily Hurriyet carried this statement to the headline.

Mr. Oktar, who also answered the questions about Private Gilad Shalit said, "It is very difficult for a person to be held captive under constant death threat.” Mr. Oktar also stated that Gilad wanted to rejoin his parents and that the pain suffered by both Gilad and his parents had to come to an end in no time. He also noted that the mothers, daughters and youth held in Israeli prisons had to also be released right away and added, “We desire each one of these brothers of ours come out of those prisons with the good morals of angels and become the kind of people who, by means of science and culture, struggle for peace.” Mr. Oktar noted that contacts with Noam Shalit, Gilad’s father, were continuing, that he would be coming to Turkey in the following days but the details of his itinerary were being withheld due to security concerns. Mr. Oktar stressed that the efforts of those who strove to form tension between Israel and Turkey were in vain and those who desired conflicts to occur between Jews and Muslims, Muslims and Christians, Shiites and Sunnis, Shiites and Wahabbites were people who were in favor of constant bloodshed but that they would not attain their goals.

Rather than acting in a way that fans the flames, Mr. Oktar stressed the importance of assuming an appeasing, forgiving attitude that left the past behind but thought ahead and employed a peaceful and moderate style, and made important statements regarding how the outlook of Muslims and Jews had to be. He also stated that the words in the Qur’an, “Do not take Christians and Jews as patrons” was misinterpreted by some people, that the phrase “do not take as patrons” actually meant not making Christians and Jews “governors” for themselves and that that was quite natural since, for the general comfort of the public, the governor of a Muslim community would be a Muslim, the governor of a Christian community would be Christian and the governor of a Jewish community would be a Jew. Mr. Oktar reminded that the People of the Book lived at ease in our Prophet’s (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) time, that during the time of the Ottoman Empire, Jews were brought all the way from Spain, our lands were opened to them and they were placed and hosted there in the best way possible. Mr. Oktar added that just as it was the case in the past, people had to live in bliss.

Other participants of the meeting drew attention to the importance of holding such a meeting for peace and brotherhood. Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander, the Chairman of the Sanhedrin Court for B’nai Noah, read the message sent by Syrian mufti expressing his support for the initiation and stressed that the union of those who believe in only one Allah was a great power. Mr. Ayoob Kara, the Deputy Minister of the Development of the Negev and Galilee, said he believed this meeting would be instrumental in leading to a very noteworthy change in the Islamic world and expressed his happiness of being a part of this initiation. Hurrian Dimitri, the Orthodox Christian Leader, said the purpose of their existence in Istanbul and the message they would like to convey was the co-existence of all religions with love, brotherhood and peace and stated that, just like our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), Mr. Adnan Oktar was a very great person who became instrumental in changing all violence and prejudices.

The meeting was followed with great interest both by the local and foreign press. Mr. Oktar stated that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) would appear very soon, no wars would any longer take place, and the world had entered an era in which science, arts and aesthetics would prosper and gave the glad tidings of the establishment of the Turkish-Islamic Union in the very near future. “Two years ago I told that visas would be removed and Turkish Islamic Union would be established and this is how the events proceed now”, said Adnan Oktar. He added that a great unity of love and friendship had started to unfold and this unity would be the guarantee of peace on Earth.
